REVIEW OF ANDROID JELLY BEAN

Finally the fifth grand update of android has hit the market. The newer version of android, known as Android 4.1.2 jelly bean is been introduced. This update is in news since a long time now. Well, jelly bean do has its own advantages on one hand and restraints on other which were pretty handled by the previous version of android, ice cream sandwich.

The moment you will pick up the jelly bean android version installed phone in your hand, you won’t discover much difference between two. But as you begin to get inside it, there are few restraints which will force you to think about its update. First of all, the new version doesn't support Google too much which was well supported by ice cream sandwich.

The boot times of both the operating systems are almost same with the only difference in seconds. Jelly bean loads a little sooner than ice cream sandwich.

• ·       Unlocking:

There is a slide change in unlocking procedure now which makes it interesting. Now users can swipe left for camera. Swiping it right will provide you with a custom tile of various icons showing you with messages, calendar and email. In order to unlock the device, you need to drag and bring the padlock icon present over screen outside the area of highlighted circle.

• ·       Notifications:

There is a change in the way notifications come too! The font used for highlighting notification is bigger in jellybean, also, in case of Gmail, you may have a quick preview of mail too the way ice cream sandwich provided of incoming messages.

• ·       Layout:

Taking about the appearance, it’s almost the same. The newer version just witnesses some fresh wallpaper which is quite obvious. Also, there is a slight change in the way date and time is shown. Current time is now shown on left with date on extreme right. Another major addition which definitely is pleasing is the ability to customize the layout. Now you can place the icons out of the way too according to your own wish.  They can be placed in any design and in any way you want. Also more flexibility is provided to adjust the size of icons which can be adjusted according to your will.

The browser is finally also powered by goggle. The beta chrome browser is finally providing its services into the android new version which is impressive from the conventional ones.

• ·       Keyboard:

No doubt the ice cream sandwich keyboard was above all other, but this update have made the writing and typing experience all the better and accurate. One of the important updates is now one can have access you voice typing without an active data connection too!

• ·       Photography:

This update has also cheered the photography lovers as a full 360 degree panorama is provided in the camera now which further adds to its versatility.

Face unlock improved

Android just went more smarter. If you love the face unlock feature but are worried if some photo or any other trick would unlock it, you need not to worry anymore. Google has now added blink feature to it. This means it would ask you to blink to identify it’s a real image or not.
