GOOGLE REMOVED A CONTROVERSIAL APPLICATION FROM PLAY STORE

A controversy stood up against one of the app of google, Make Me Asian following which google had to remove the app. Make Me Asian was an app with the help of which one can replace the face from any photo with an Asian one. Google removed the app from its android app store, play store when about thousands of people signed their petition against the application.

Peter chin, a pastor in Washington organized a formal petition in response to this which was signed by 10,000 people. A statement was then released by goggle to CNN stating that they pull out all the apps from their store which tend to violate their policies.

An Asian American social worker stated that any such type of application would lead to humiliation and insult of Asians which by no way is right. As a result of all these controversies and depictions, Google finally took the decision of removing the app form the store. In addition, google also pulled out apps like Make Me Fat and Make Me Indian. Make be Asian was a tool which could easily take any Chinese, Korean or Japanese face and can enable lots of amendments and alterations over the respective picture right from applying mustaches to adding that over the picture.
